18/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - During its plenary assembly on 18 October in Bratislava, Eurochambers (the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry) appointed Austrian-born Christoph Leitl as its president. Mr Leitl will take on the appointment on 1 January 2002, to replace German Jörg Mittelsten Scheid.
