GAC reiterates EU support for Lusaka and Arusha peace processes - Ministerial meeting with Zimbabwe

Luxembourg, 10/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - In Luxembourg on Monday, in its conclusions on the region of the Great African Lakes, the General Affairs Council (GAC) welcomed the developments bearers of hope registered in the two peace processes of the past two months. The Council confirmed the EU's political and financial support for these two processes and welcomed the forthcoming mission to the region of a ministerial troika headed by Council President Louis Michel.
