Commissioner de Palacio confirms that rules of competition will be applied flexibly to cover direct consequences on airline companies of attacks of 11 September - New safety rules

Brussels, 10/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - As expected, on Wednesday the European Commission adopted a communication on the economic consequences for European airline companies of the attacks of 11 September, as well as a draft regulation aimed at enhancing air safety and its proposal for the creation of a "single European sky". This package will be submitted to the Transport Council of 16 October in Luxembourg.
