The Spanish operator TELEFONICA MOVILES has announced that it has cancelled its plan to buy a 54% stake in the Brazilian firm CELULAR CRT PARTICIPACOES that it had just announced (see EI of 15 September). The operator explains its decision by events that occurred in the United States and by the "significant change in the normal functioning of the international capitals market". This operation was valued at 950 million euro.
