Brussels, 17/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Group of the European People's party and European Democrats will hold its study days in Rome, on 24 and 25 September, under the chairmanship of the German Hans-Gert Poeterring (CDU). These days will be devoted to: - the euro and the European Union's economic policy, with the minister of the Economy Giulio Tremonti, Commissioner Michel Barnier and former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt; - the EU's institutional reform, with the Italian minister for European affairs, Rocco Buttiglione; - human genetics, with the Italian Health Minister, Girolamo Sirchia, the rapporteur for the EP's temporary committee, Francesco Fiori and the chair of the European Ethical Group, Noelle Lenoir. The conclusions of the three debates will be drawn by Karl von wogau MEP (CDU), Innigo Mendez de Vigo MEP (Partido Popular) and Peter Liese MEP (CDU).
