"Leader -" aid to regional development for Spanish regions of Navarre and Murcia

Brussels, 28/08/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the European Commission approved the granting of aid to rural development under the "Leader +" programme for two Spanish regions. The region of Murcia will receive 11.9 million euro under the Structural Funds, out of a total of public spending of 17.8 million euro. The EU's financial contribution for the region of Navarre is 8.5 million euro, for a programme of 17 million euro in all.
