In addition to the main world electricity companies, French EDF has just announced its interest in acquiring the Parana electricity company COPEL. Already present in Brazil with its subsidiary LIGHT, EDF hopes to take a massive market holding. The sale of COPEL through auction, during which the State of Parana will sell 76.5 and 90% of the company, should take place on 31 October.
