Elmar Brok calls on Council to reverse its decision aimed at reducing financial assistance to FRY

Brussels, 30/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - In a letter written to Louis Michel, the Chair of the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, Elmar Brok (German, CDU) criticises the reductions decided on by the Council (on first reading on 20 July, of the draft Budget 2002) of credits earmarked for macro-financial assistance to the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
