ELECTRABEL acquired the electric assets that its parent company TRACTEBEL (French SUEZ group) held in Europe. The totality of the acquisition covers an amount of EUR 590 million. ELECTRABEL thus bought stakes from TRACTEBEL in the following power stations: POLANIEC in Poland (25% of the capital), ROSEN in Italy (99.5%), GENERG in Portugal (32.5%) and DUNAMENTI in Hungary (74.82%).
