'Yes' to Dutch aid scheme for cutting CO2 emissions

Brussels, 04/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the European Commission approved the Dutch aid scheme for cutting CO2 emissions in road, rail and inland waterway transport as part of the measures introduced by the Dutch authorities to meet EU objectives for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in line with Kyoto commitments. The Commission is of the opinion that the Dutch aid scheme's proposed objectives and maximum intervention thresholds are fully compatible with Community rules governing...
