The British group KINGFISHER (brands Darty, Vandenborre, Castorama, and But) sold its chain of chemists and drugstores SUPERDRUG (turnover of GBP 902 million in 2000 with 706 shops) to the Dutch group KRUIDVAT (turnover of NLG 3.52 billion in 2000 with 1,300 shops) for GBP 280 million.
