Scientific Steering Committee considers genetically modified cotton is not a health risk

Brussels, 04/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - In an opinion given on Thursday, the Scientific Steering Committee concluded that the use in medical products and hygiene products of genetically modified cotton was not a risk for health, even when used in the manufacture of feminine hygiene products, in baby or adult incontinence products and other garments.
