According to the German press, the semi-public bank BANKGESELLSCHAFT BERLIN, 56.6% held by the city of Berlin, could be privatised due to the financial difficulties that it is experiencing. In fact, the bank announced that it was expecting a loss of EUR 500 million this year. The city of Berlin should entrust, towards the end of the month of May, an investment bank with finding an interested private partner.
