22/05/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Ombudsman, Jacob Soederman, has welcomed the decision taken by the European Parliament to allow all candidates who have taken part in exams organized by the institution to consult their marked copies. Following a recommendation by the Ombudsman in July 2000, Parliament had already agreed to allow this access from 2001. Saying he is very pleased with this complementary decision, Mr. Soederman stresses that Parliament's procedures "are now in line with those its Committee on Petitions had recommended to the European Commission in the Bosch Report, adopted in October 2000".
