The Scandinavian airline SAS launches bid for 68.8% of its Norwegian competitor BRAATHENS followed by a bid for the remaining 31.2% for a total of EUR 140.9 million. Jointly owned by Swedish, Norway and Denmark, SAS will first be buying out the Dutch airline KLM's 30% stake, and the founder Braathens family's 38.8% share before launching a tender offer for the remaining free float. SAS is offering EUR 4.375 a share. SAS will later sell off its share in BRAATHENS Sweden.
