22/05/2001 (Agence Europe) - On first reading under the codecision procedure, the European Parliament adopted the report by Bernd Lange (PES, Germany) on the draft Directive updating the cold start tests for light goods vehicles (category N1, classes II and III). The main amendments voted by the plenary session introduce stricter carbon monoxide (CO) limits that those recommended by the Commission.
