At Norrkoping seminar, Nielson undertakes to make humanitarian aid to children a Commission priority

Norrkoping, 02/03/2001 (Agence Europe) - According to UNICEF estimates, over the past decade armed conflicts have, directly or indirectly, caused the death of 2 million children, whereas one million have become orphans, 6 million disabled or seriously injured, and over 20 million children have been forced to flee their homes and over 300,000 are said to have taken up arms.
