MMH allowed to acquire TEO sales agencies

Brussels, 02/03/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission authorised the German company Michel Mineralolhandel GmbH (MMH), indirectly controlled by TotalFinaElf and RAG, to acquire two sales agencies for oil products from Thyssen-Elf Oil GmbH (TEO) in Essen and Stuttgart as well as their respective clients. The Commission felt that the operation in question does not change the competitive situation in the market concerned as MMH and TEO are already linked through TotalFinaElf.
