Brussels, 22/12/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission decided not to raise any objections towards the two Italian aid measures to ship building, under Council regulation 1540/98. Two particularities are underlined:
- the cited Council regulation expires at the end of the year. The authorisation thus covers exclusively the contracts signed, or in the process of being completed, before next 31 December;
- it does not concern direct aid to ship yards, but aid to ship owners for whom...
