In the US, MICROSOFT has announced the acquisition, for the sum of $1.1 billion in shares, of the GREAT PLAINS SOFTWARE company (expected turnover this year between $300 and 310 million with 2,000 employed), which provides applications for SMEs. The deal was finalised and submitted for the approval of the US competition authorities.
