EUR 177 million for Irish gas network

Brussels, 08/12/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank granted a EUR 177 million loan to Bord Gais Eireann for the extension of the natural gas transmission network in Ireland and the improvement of the United Kingdom-Ireland interconnector.

The investment will notably cover the replacement of more than 400 km of distribution pipes in the south and east of Ireland, the creation of new extensions and the installation of two compression stations in Beattock and Brughouse Bays...
