Commissioner Lamy takes part in meeting of Asean economy ministers

Brussels, 04/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commissioner for trade, Pascal Lamy, is to take part in the 32nd meeting of Economy Ministers of the Association of South East Asian countries, Asean, to take place from 5 to 7 October, in Chiang Mai, Thailand. On that occasion, he will present the European point of view on the prospects for a new WTO negotiating round and the recent Commission proposal of guaranteeing free access to the European market for the 48 least developed countries...
