Young European doctors in medicine call for directive on working hours concerning them to be applied as soon as possible

Brussels, 19/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - The agreement between the European Parliament and the Council on the directive aimed at extending the Working Time Directive to trainee doctors constitutes a "positive step forward", mainly from the point of view of protecting the health of doctors and the safety of their patients. This was set out by the Permanent Working Group of European Junior Doctors (PWG), which calls on Member States to apply this directive as soon as possible (see EUROPE of 5...
