The French company ZANNIER (turnover of EUR 354.3 million in 1999) and Britain's PENTLAND plan to set up a 50-50 joint venture. KICKERS WORLDWIDE will exploit the "Kickers" children's shoes brand in France and around the world. ZANNIER will contribute its subsidiaries KICKERS INTERNATIONAL BV and EUROKA SA, and PENTLAND its subsidiary AIRBORNE FOOTWEAR LTD to the joint venture, whose partners had combined turnover of EUR 162 million in 1999.
