Commission to consult WTO on dispute with Chile on ban on Community vessels unloading swordfish catches

Brussels, 19/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to begin World Trade Organisation (WTO) dispute settlement procedures against the Republic of Chile to challenge its unilateral ban on Community vessels unloading swordfish catches in its ports.
