Brussels, 19/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - Under the Habitats Directive, the negative effect on the environment of the extension of a factory belonging to the Dasa group (aeronautics) on the Mühlenberger Loch in Hamburg (Germany) may be justified for reasons of major public interest, but the German authorities must foresee the payment of compensation for damage caused to the environment.
