Commission approves its reports on women in the decision making process and on men/women equality in 1999

Brussels, 08/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - On the initiative of Anna Diamantopoulou, the European Commission approved its report relating to the situation of women in the decision making process, mainly in the public sector. This report contains interesting statistics in this field and contains, other than an assessment of the situation in the Member States, a detailed section on the place of women in the decision making process within the European institutions.
