Parliament calls for further measures to fight infectious anaemia in salmon - Other issues linked to protection of fish resources

Brussels, 08/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - Adopting at its mini-session in Brussels the report by Scottish regionalist Ian Stewart Hudghton (Greens/EFA), Parliament approved changes to the 1993 directive establishing minimal Community measures to combat certain fish diseases. This modification is meant to ensure more logical and systematic implementation of inspections to enable fish farmers to place healthy salmon on the market, instead of having to eliminate them before they reach marketable...
