In support of definitive ban on antibiotics in animal feed

Strasbourg, 28/01/2000 (Agence Europe) - With the adoption of the report by Maggi Mikaelsson (GUE, Sweden), the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe invited the European Union to place a definitive ban on the use of all antibiotics in animal feed, given the scientific studies that are already available, mainly that of the Scientific Steering Committee, on anti-microbial resistance.
