European Commission seeks feedback on revision of Eurojust’s mandate

16/07/2026 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission opened, on Wednesday 15 July, a feedback period on its proposed regulation presented on 24 June (see EUROPE 13895/3) revising the mandate of the EU Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation (Eurojust). Comments may be submitted until 10 September. The proposed regulation should improve Eurojust’s ability to respond more quickly to developments in cross-border organised crime and hybrid threats, and should also enhance judicial cooperation with third countries and other relevant European actors. This feedback period follows a call for evidence held from 28 October to 3 December 2025, and then a public consultation conducted from 2 December 2025 to 24 February 2026.
