13/07/26 (Agence Europe) – EU foreign ministers, on Monday 13 July, approved the extension of the mandate of the EU Special Representative for the Horn of Africa, Annette Weber, until 31 August 2027. According to a press release from the EU Council, this decision has been taken with a view to “ensuring continued EU engagement at a time of a particularly challenging regional and global context”. Ms Weber is one of the 11 EU Special Representatives supporting the work of the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas. (BD)
