European Commission opens anti-dumping investigation into imports of welded steel mesh from China and Türkiye

05/06/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 3 June, the European Commission opened an anti-dumping investigation into imports of welded steel mesh from China and Türkiye. This product is mainly used to reinforce concrete structures. The complaint was lodged by the European Welded Steel Mesh Producers Association on 20 April 2026. In both cases, the allegation of dumping is based on a comparison between the normal value of the product and its export price when sold to the EU. The dumping margins calculated on the basis of this comparison are “significant” for both China and Türkiye the document concluded.
