29/05/2026 (Agence Europe) – The ambassadors of the EU Member States meeting within the Political and Security Committee decided, on Thursday 28 May, to appoint German national Cornelia Taylor as Head of Mission of the European Union Advisory Mission to Ukraine (EUAM Ukraine). She will take up her duties on 1 July 2026, replacing Danish national Rolf Holmboe, who has held the post since 12 June 2023. The mandate of EUAM Ukraine runs until 31 May 2027. On 11 May, the EU Council extended it in order to combat hybrid threats and support the reintegration of former combatants (see EUROPE 13866/2). Moreover, the mandate of Italian national Giovanni Pietro Barbano as Head of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX KOSOVO) has been extended from 15 to 25 June 2026.
