29/05/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 29 May, the European Central Bank (ECB) announced the appointment of three new Directors-General, who will take up senior management roles within the monetary institute. Roland Straub has been appointed Director-General Monetary Policy, Christophe Kamps Director-General International and European Relations, and Petra Senkovic Director-General Legal Services. The appointments of Mr Straub and Mr Kamps will take effect next Wednesday, 1 July, while Ms Senkovic will take up her duties on 1 November. “These three outstanding colleagues have decades of invaluable experience, and the Executive Board and I look forward to working with them as we deliver on our mandate”, ECB President Christine Lagarde said. Her term at the head of the Frankfurt-based institute will end in October 2027. (BD)
