Maciej Witucki succeeds Fredrik Persson as President of BusinessEurope

22/05/2026 (Agence Europe) – At its meeting in Dublin on Friday 22 May, the Council of Presidents of the European social partner BusinessEurope unanimously elected Maciej Witucki to succeed Fredrik Persson as president of the organisation from 1 July 2026, according to a press release. Until recently, Maciej Witucki was Chairman of the Main Council of Confederation Lewiatan, the Polish member federation of BusinessEurope, which has 42 federations across the EU. He was elected for a two-year term, renewable once. Maciej Witucki has been vice-president of BusinessEurope since 2023 and an active member of the Council of Presidents since 2019. (SP)
