21/05/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 21 May, the EU’s group on the code of conduct for business taxation elected Slovenian Tina Humar as its chair. Her mandate began the same day and will last for two years. Ms Humar is Director General in the Directorate for the System of Tax, Customs and Other Public Finance Revenues at the Ministry of Finance of Slovenia. The code of conduct group is the EU body that promotes fair tax competition and monitors harmful tax measures, both within the EU and beyond. It was established in 1998 and is composed of high-level taxation experts from the Member States. (CG)
