G7 calls for no restrictions on hydrocarbon exports to avoid market tensions

On Monday 30 March, the G7 countries called on all countries to refrain from imposing “unjustified” restrictions on the export of oil, gas and related products in order to preserve the stability of world markets.

In a joint statement issued at the end of an emergency meeting to take stock of the macroeconomic impact of the war in the Middle East started by the United States and Israel, the G7 energy and finance ministers stressed the need to maintain sufficient supply.
