27/03/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 27 March, the European Commission approved a €500 million public scheme in Luxembourg to support investments that add clean technology manufacturing capacity, in line with the ‘CISAF’ regulatory framework supporting the ‘Clean Industrial Deal’ (see EUROPE 13588/1). The technologies concerned, such as heat pumps and electric batteries, are listed in Annex II of the ‘CISAF’ framework. Taking the form of direct grants available until the end of 2030, the scheme will also make it possible to grant aid for the production of new or recovered related critical raw materials necessary for the production of those final products. The Commission believes that the measure is necessary, appropriate and proportionate to accelerate the transition to a net zero emission economy. (MB)
