In response to Eurostat’s figures on EU steel exports to the United States, the European Steel Association (EUROFER) reiterated its call for a “fair, balanced and enforceable” EU–US trade agreement on Friday, 20 February.
The data indicates that EU steel exports to the US fell 30% in the second half of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, following the introduction of 50% customs duties.
