2040 target - European Commission launches a consultation on possible use of international carbon credits

09/02/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 9 February, the European Commission opened a public consultation to define a legal framework for the use of international carbon credits to help meet the EU’s 2040 climate target(see EUROPE B13770A1).
