Inflation estimated at 1.7% in January 2026 in euro area

04/02/2026 (Agence Europe) – The annual inflation rate in the euro area is estimated at 1.7% in January 2026, compared with 2.0% in December 2025, according to a flash estimate published by the statistical office of the European Union (Eurostat) on Wednesday 4 February. It was highest in Slovakia (4.2%) and Croatia (3.6).
