04/02/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 4 February, the European Commission approved a regulation imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of high-pressure seamless steel cylinders (HPSC) from China. These empty steel cylinders are used in fire extinguishers for compressed or liquefied gas. An anti-dumping investigation was launched in December 2024 in response to a complaint lodged by five European companies operating in the sector. This complaint contains “evidence of dumping and of resulting material injury that [is] sufficient to justify the initiation of the investigation”. Provisional anti-dumping duties were applied from 5 August 2025. Today, they are definitively between 59.7% and 90.3%. To see the regulation: https://aeur.eu/f/kkl (PLD)
