03/02/2026 (Agence Europe) – In its annual report published on Tuesday 3 February, the Federation of European Securities Exchanges (FESE) pointed to resilient EU capital markets in 2025, despite a year marked by persistent geopolitical tensions, high volatility and macroeconomic uncertainty. Market capitalisation increased, despite a fall in the number of listed companies. The primary markets continued to recover, with IPO activity remaining moderate, but above that observed in 2023 and stronger in the second half of the year. At the same time, order book trading intensified, ETFs maintained their momentum, while exchange-traded derivatives showed mixed trends. Bond markets remained stable, although trading volumes fell.
