03/02/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 3 February, the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) launched two calls for expression of interest to support the adoption of the voluntary sustainability reporting standard ‘VSME’ by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the EU. Open until 5 April, these calls are part of EFRAG’s work on the development of a ‘VSME’ ecosystem (see EUROPE 13723/26). The first call aims to map the digital platforms and initiatives that already exist or are being developed to support voluntary sustainability reporting by SMEs, in particular environmental, social and governance (ESG) data platforms. The second call focuses on identifying the digital tools available, such as greenhouse gas emission calculators, geolocation tools and tools for analysing climate, water and biodiversity risks.
