In committee, MEPs approve provisional agreement on 2040 target

20/01/2026 (Agence Europe) – In Strasbourg on Monday, 19 January, members of the European Parliament’s Committee on the Environment (ENVI) approved the provisional agreement on the revision of the ‘European Climate Law’ so as to introduce a target for reducing emissions by 2040 into the text.
