France urges European Commission to take action against Shein after sex doll scandal

On Thursday, 6 November, French Minister of the Economy Roland Lescure and French Minister of Digital Affairs Anne Le Hénanff sent a letter to European Commission Executive Vice-President Henna Virkkunen, who is responsible for digital affairs, in which they call on the EU to take action against the platform Shein (see EUROPE B13746A16). The French authorities had reported on 1 November that “childlike sex dolls” were being sold on the platform.
