04/11/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 4 November, the Council of the European Union approved the disbursement of a fifth instalment of macro-financial assistance worth €1.8 billion under the ‘Ukraine Facility’. This instalment brings to €24.7 billion the amounts already disbursed through this €50 billion budgetary instrument for the period 2024-2027. Endorsing the European Commission’s assessment, the EU Council is of the opinion that the Ukrainian authorities have taken the ten measures required in exchange for financial support, in areas such as the business environment (SME strategy, treatment of non-performing loans), energy, decentralisation and the procurement of social services.
