European Commission appoints new Performance Review Board in charge of guiding ‘Single European Sky’ implementation

09/10/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday, 7 October, the European Commission announced that it had appointed a new Performance Review Board (PRB) to guide the implementation of the ‘Single European Sky’ initiative (see EUROPE 13628/31). This board will assist the European Commission by providing it independent advice and expertise on the implementation of the ‘Single Sky’ performance and charging scheme. This system serves as an economic regulation mechanism for air navigation service providers in a monopoly position. The European Commission has appointed Koen Milis as chair and Maurizio Castelletti, Ana Gomez-Pineda Luna, Catherine Mary Mannion, Juan José Montero-Pascual, Patrick Souchu, and Joseph Sultana as board members. The members and chair of the PRB will serve a five-year term. (AD)
