03/09/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 3 September, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced that NATO’s PURL (Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List) initiative had already raised $2 billion (€1.72 billion). “In just a few weeks (Editor’s note: since the end of June), this mechanism has channelled $2 billion worth of urgently needed aid to Ukraine – from ammunition to advanced air defence. From the US to Ukraine, paid for by the Allies”, he stressed. According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, by 31 August, seven countries had officially joined PURL: the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Latvia, Norway and Canada. He hoped that, under PURL, “no less than $1 billion (€860 million) will be raised each month”. (CG)
