On Wednesday 3 September, the European Commission proposed to allocate up until 2032 almost €6.7 billion (current prices) for the Euratom civil nuclear research and training programme (worth €9.8 billion over the period 2028-2034 - see EUROPE B13683A7). Of this total, €5.8 billion will be allocated to the ITER civil nuclear fusion research reactor project.
